An AI-Driven App for Personalized Health Guidance

Project Overview

Care Circle is a wellness app designed for mid-aged adults who want trustworthy, personalized support for their everyday health. The app combines AI assistance, doctor guidance, and daily wellness routines in one clear and calming space.

Its goal is to make reliable health advice accessible and easy to act on, helping users build confidence in their decisions and stay connected with their well-being.

Challenge

Many mid-aged adults face growing health concerns but no longer trust what they read on social media. They need reliable, easy-to-understand information and quick access to real medical guidance.

Care Circle serves as a personal health companion, offering trustworthy advice from certified doctors and AI to help users make confident choices about their well-being.

My Role

Low-Fidelity Wireframes

At this stage, my focus was on understanding user needs and testing interaction logic rather than visual style. I designed low-fidelity wireframes to validate how users navigate between AI and doctor support, ensuring a smooth, intuitive experience. These sketches helped uncover usability gaps early and guided decisions on hierarchy, feedback flow, and task efficiency before moving into detailed UI design.

Refining the User Experience

I refined the interface to improve clarity, prevent misclicks, and create a more intuitive chat experience across both doctor and AI modes.

  • Moved the Doctor / AI toggle to the top
    Improves visibility and reduces accidental taps, ensuring users instantly recognize which mode they’re in and maintain control throughout the interaction.

  • Improved information hierarchy
    Refining typography, spacing, and contrast helps users scan messages faster and focus on key content, reducing cognitive load during conversations.

  • Unified the input field design between AI and doctor chat
    Creates consistency and predictability across modes, so users don’t need to relearn interface patterns when switching between chats.

  • Adjusted navigation bar icons
    Clarified icon meaning and spacing to strengthen affordance and minimize confusion, helping users navigate confidently without hesitation.

  • Simplified the header layout
    Makes the chat context (Doctor vs AI) immediately clear, reinforcing user trust and reducing uncertainty about who they’re communicating with.

  • Switched to darker chat bubble color
    Increases text contrast and improves legibility, helping users focus on key information during conversations.

Reflection & Product Vision

Building CareCircle taught me that designing for trust is more than aesthetics—it’s about creating emotional reassurance through usability, consistency, and empathy.


Through user testing, I learned how easy it is to overlook missing interactions when you’re too familiar with your own flow, and how usability testing exposes blind spots that only real users can reveal.

This project also helped me recognize the importance of balancing innovation with simplicity. I initially wanted to add many features, but testing showed that clarity and focus make users feel more confident.

Looking ahead, my vision for CareCircle is to become a personalized, trustworthy health companion—a platform that bridges AI intelligence with human empathy, helping users feel supported, informed, and in control of their well-being every day.
